The Vedas say, " Let us live together, let us eat together and let us seek the truth together ." This ancient scripture invites all human beings--regardless of creed, caste, age or sex--to live harmoniously and seek the truth . It is the duty of every human being, at least every Hindu, to obey this message, to try and live in peace with one another .
Priests and Vedic scholars across India has carried this great heritage of our vedas and the knowledge of the scriptures to generations and generations. Honouring such pandits is a pleasure unlimited. As we celebrated our Teacher's Day in September, we also felt a strong need to honour three priests who could no longer continue the livelood by being the priests and their age and age related illness has made them continue prayers at home. In order, to motivate them, we have honoured them with a set of clothes, Rs 1000 cash and a month provisions on behalf of the club. The money of Rs 3000 sponsored by Shanthi and provisions and clothes by Uma.
