Yoga Project at Juvenile home -27 Aug 2017

Represented by Rajeena from our club.  It is done along with Rainbow and Midtown Inner Wheel clubs

Project at Primary Health Centre- Mugalivakkam - 23 Aug 2017

We distributed baby dresses to new born babies at the Primary Health Centre Mugalivakkam Porur.We also created an Awareness against the use of plastic bags .

Projects at Primary Health Centre and Prema Vasam

We have done 2 projects today. First one is .... we visited Primary Health centre at Mugalivakkam village and created an awareness against the usage of plastic bags . We also distributed cloth bags containing snacks and fruit juice packets to all the pregnant ladies who were there .
Second project was providing Diapers to the physically and mentally challenged children of Prema Vasam. It was again a heart warming moment we spent there with the special kids . We also donated 5 Kg sugar.

Quorum being present,  the meeting commenced with  collaring of the President  Gayathri Ramadoss by Secretary  Shila Krishnan and reciting of Inner Wheel Prayer.

President Gayathri welcomed and thanked all  members for their attendance and briefed on the  projects as follows :-

On 2^nd August 2017, we  had conducted breast feeding awareness at Andhra Mahila Sabha and 14 of us attended this project.  We donated baby dresses for new born babies and dry fruits and nuts and Horlicks sachets to lactating mothers.  Gayathri also thanked Geetha Rao for her efforts  in organizing this project and  thanked Athirai for getting all the things for the project. Gayathri also thanked all our members who attended this project and made it a successful one.

On 10^th August 2017, we donated 100 baby dresses and diapers at Children’s Hospital at Egmore and thanked Rajeena for co-ordinating this project.

On 12^th August 2017, District ISO Project SPARDHA at Rajarathinam Stadium and congratulated Rajeena and Sandhya for winning few games. 8 of us had participated . ISO Suman briefed on the game organised by our club.

On 15^th August 2017, we participated in the Joint Club Project SRUJAN – an awareness program  against usage of plastics and save the earth.  44 clubs had jointly conducted this program at Abhirami Mall. Each club had sponsored 100 cloth bags with Inner Wheel branding,  to be distributed  to vendors and small shops to create awareness against usage of plastic bags. Each club contributed Rs.2000/- towards this project. This project was attended by 7 of us.

President Gayathri briefed on the upcoming projects:

Our club has requested Ford for 45 computers for distribution to 4 schools.

Gayathri announced about TIST –  a Tree planting project and  requested our members to identify places for tree planting, She also said that the trees are available at free of cost.

Our Chairman Project visit will  be held on Monday the 18^th September 2017 at Porur Government Middle School, Government Higher Secondary School and at Prema Vasam. We are providing 42 baby chairs and 6 round tables to the Government Middle School and Fixing 2 Wash Stations at Government Higher Secondary School. Wash Stations are sponsored by Rotary Club. As decided earlier, we will provide diapers worth around Rs.4000/- and sponsor either breakfast or lunch for the children at Prema Vasam.

Sunita introduced a new member  Vanita Rajagopal who will be inducted during our next GB meeting.

PDC Sita briefed on the “Charter Day” – birthday of our Club and thanked the  Charter Members of our club Olagi and Sugandhi for their physical and moral support to our club.

We enjoyed cutting a cake to mark the Charter Day celebrations.

Girija Ramaswamy graced the occasion with Harikatha – a musical program based on “Inner wheel Club” and Rooma performed a beautiful dance followed by High Tea.

Charter Day and August GB- 21 Aug 2017 - At Mylapore Club

Today we celebrated our Charter day with Music and dance. We enjoyed Harikatha performed by our member Kalaimamani Girija Ramaswamy with her breeze like voice and classical dance by Rooma. Superb performance .
