Health camp for servants and underprivileged women to utilize the opportunity and get health check up. IWC Madras South took 5 women to this camp for check up.Today
Inner Wheel District 323 conducted a wellness program"Sushruthi" for
the underprivileged women at VHS Hospital Adyar. We had an awareness
speech by eminent doctors and nutritionist. 80 women benefited by this
program...... With District Chairman District Secretary and with a few
of the women benefited ..
IWD 323, SUSHRUTHA the Health awareness and medical check up program for
the under privileged was well coordinated by Dist. Secy. Kamala Selvam
and ably assisted by the club Secy. and presidents at VHS Adyar today .
it was a grand success.
The program started with a talk on osteoporosis and osteoarthritis by Dr. Arun followed by Cervical Cancer and Breast Cancer Awareness talks by Dr. Nazeem of VHS and Mary of Penn Nalam. The highlights were the talk on diabetes and hypertension by Dr. Shashi and Nutrition and Diet by Sadhana Rajkumar. It was very useful and informative.
76 underprivileged women got themselves screened and around 50 Inner Wheel members attended the program. It was a very fulfilling and satisfying day for all the Clubs which participated.
