Every year along with the National Health and Regional Health institutions, Rotary and Inner Wheel aims at making this movement to completely eradicate Polio from our country a National Mission. We are almost there and just to ensure that our future generations are safe and far away from this crippling ailment, we join every year to continue in every way possible. This year is no different
We, at Inner Wheel club of Madras South joined hands with Inner Wheel Clubs of Chennai Central and Chennai Presidency and went to Institute of Child Health (Egmore Baby Hospital) and administered the polio drops to several children. We also gave goodies to every child who came to this camp. Was so excited when few little children, came forward and showed us the ink on their fingers and said 'Aunty, I got the ink on my hand and got the drops..will you give me the car?' It makes you feel good and at the end of the day when you are sure that you did your part in the National Mission, the satisfaction you get is just enough.
