Now about our 2 long -time on going projects.
1. Birds' old age Home: Our club has been giving Rs. 1000/ every month to this home for basic neccesities like milk, rice & grocery items. When 3 of our members visited the home recently, the pathetic living conditions of the inmates forced our members to put the matter forward at the Gen body meeting when members decided to increase the contribution from Rs.1000/ to Rs. 1500/ every month.  Additionally,36 quilts @ Rs. 500/each are also being given to the Home. Our member Indira Revi has generously contributed for 10 such mattresses.similarly, Our members PDC Shanthi & President Manjula donated Rs. 3000/ towards Annadhanam at the Home.

2.Children's ward at the egmore eye hospital : providing cots, cradles, mattresses & other utility items to this pediatric ward has been our continuous project. This year a cupboard worth 4800/ was given to this ward in addition to Rs. 2500/ towards MRI scanning charges for an infant.

Our charter member Olagammai contributed a sum of Rs. 1000/ from her trust towards charity.

Not only were our projects meaningful; our  monthly general body meetings also were worthwhile & entertaining with each group organising speakers who delivered informative talks on 'Women & weight issues; on "greener environment'; on soft skills & personality development; on “legal rights for women”; while on the lighter side, there was "Mohini Aatam",folk dance & hip hop too!

That’s about all our activities carried out during the last one year. We  hope to continue to think ahead & aim high to make our projects more meaningful. Thank you!!
